GEICO/Lucas Oil Top Fuel driver Morgan Lucas won the NHRA vs. NASCAR portion of the fourth annual Geoff Bodine Bobsled Challenge Sunday with the best time of the weekend down Mount Van Hoevenberg - a stunning 47.78 mph run in one of Team USA's competition Bo-Dyn bobsleds. Final-round foe Todd Bodine, who dominated the timed portion of the event earlier in the day, flipped over near the end of his final run to give Lucas the win.

The Tuesday December 9th edition of the Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour will feature Ritchie Lewis, Todd Hutto, Bob Christopher, and Duane Davis. The broadcast will air live on www.RaceTalkLive.com, Tuesday Night beginning at 8:00pm Eastern/ 7:00pm Central. In a history-making season Heidi Steele along with her teammates Rene Brugger, Danny Street Jr. and Tim Lawrence clinch both premiere off road racing championships in their Lucas Oil/Yokohama Tire FORD Ranger. Securing the titles in SCORE, which is famous for the Baja 1000 and the Best In the Desert series is a feat rumored to only be accomplished by one other team in history from the research found.

 | Logan defends North Island title
For Ricky Logan, winning a championship is one thing, but defending it with a follow-up win is reaching a whole new level. The Little Rock, Arkansas driver made it back to back championships for the coveted North Island Sprintcar Championship at Western Springs Speedway in New Zealand. Logan started off the night by going out last in the Lucas Oil number 10 and setting quick time by almost a half a second over the field. “My ability to draw poorly has stayed in tack,” Logan commented, “We had a really good lap for time trials and that is important to us as we don’t time much down here. The car was awesome and it was a great boost for our team.”

The racing Murphy family, headquartered in Lancaster-California, were very busy during the turkey day weekend supervising the needs of three race cars for three drivers who were going to race them at two different tracks, in two different states, within a period of less than 24 hours.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will kick off its winter television broadcast schedule on SPEED Channel this Saturday Afternoon, December 6th. On tap, will be the action from the 32nd Annual DART East Bay Winternationals events from East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL.
The broadcast will air at 3:00 PM Eastern/2:00 PM Central and will be the first of 14 events to be aired on SPEED for the LOLMDS from December through March.
