Lucas Oil Products is seeking a full-time OTR Driver to join our Studio Production Team, responsible for transporting the Studio Mobile Unit to and from various motorsports events and assisting the crew in the field.

As a OTR Studio Truck Driver at Lucas Oil, you will:

  • Represent a premium national brand
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of the mobile unit to the proper location and to operate and maintain the mobile unit
  • Ensure that all registrations, inspections and other related documents for the mobile unit are current and up to date
  • Ensure that required Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL), medical exams and any other related certifications as a professional driver are up to date
  • Represent Lucas Oil Products to clients and partners in the industry in a courteous and professional manner
  • Managing time on the clock and reporting any violations immediately to Lucas Trucking
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and trip reports and submit them to Manager
  • Communicate regularly about service or repairs needed for mobile units
  • On-site duties include but are not limited to:
    • Overseeing the deployment, operation and inventory of the broadcast television and within the production facility
    • Managing technical operations for live television and web productions
    • Fulfilling duties of an EEIC (Emergency Engineer in Charge), including being responsible for the safety of the staff and signing off that rental equipment has been checked by the rental company and is safe for use.
    • Performing regular maintenance and cleaning activities on the mobile unit, including care and maintenance of the truck’s onboard generator
    • Communicate effectively and clearly with track promoters and owners as to where the truck should be parked and when you are arriving
    • Assisting with the set-up, unpacking and packing of the production trailer in cooperation with Engineers and Technicians
    • Providing on-site client service and technical support, assisting other crew members when needed
    • Purchasing and stocking the unit with snacks and beverages for the staff prior to each event
  • Post-Event
    • Washing the team Safety Vests

Required qualifications:

  • Must have a Class A CDL
  • At least 5 years OTR experience, with mobile production truck experience preferred
  • Experience in the live broadcast and/or motorsports industry is a bonus
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to communicate with production crew and management during set-up and broadcasting
  • Able to solve practical problems and think outside the box
  • Willingness to be on the road from 4 days to 4 weeks at a time, with up to 70% travel including weekends
  • Able to lift and move 75 pounds
