COMMERCE, Ga. – It was a family affair in the winner's circle at the rain delayed Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway with Ryan and Edmond Richardson taking home the hardware in Super Stock and Super Comp respectively.

Ryan Richardson, Greenbrier, Tenn., picked up his first Super Stock win defeating Chad Taylor, Sellersburg, Ind., with a 10.228 second, 120.52 mph pass. Moments later, his father Edmond Richardson, also from Greenbrier, pulled to the line and successfully completed the family double-up by denying Jerry Sosebee, Lula, Ga., his first national event win in Super Comp.

Georgia Super Street racer Ed Pauley out of Shelby, made it to his first ever final and secured the win with a holeshot over Brad Plourd, Cullman, Ala. Pauley's .004 second reaction time coupled with his 10.945 second pass at 131.92 mph was enough to take out Plourd's 10.932 second run.

John Taylor, Naples, Fla., picked up his second career national event win and his second this year by defeating Alan Kenny, Kutztown, Pa., in the Super Gas final with a 9.902 second, 167.51 pass is his '99 Dakota truck. Also joining in the winner's circle celebration taking the wins and the trophies were Greg Rowe, Bridgeton, N.C. in Stock; Jeff Strickland, Red Bay, Ala., in Top Sportsman; and Tommy Turner, Naples, Fla., in Top Sportsman.

The following are Monday's final results from the 34th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway. The race is the seventh of 24 in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series:

Super Stock -- Ryan Richardson, Chevy Camaro, 10.228, 120.52 def. Chad Taylor, Pontiac, foul.

Stock Eliminator -- Greg Rowe, Pontiac Firebird, 12.828, 73.75 def. Jimmy Hidalgo, Chevy Corvette, foul.

Super Comp -- Edmond Richardson, Dragster, 9.567, 118.12 def. Jerry Sosebee, Dragster, 20.442, 46.21.

Super Gas -- John Taylor, Dodge Dakota, 9.902, 167.51 def. Alan Kenny, Chevy Corvette, 9.913, 157.78.

Super Street -- Ed Pauley, Chevy Camaro, 10.945, 131.92 def. Brad Plourd, Camaro, 10.932, 120.83.

Top Dragster -- Jeff Strickland, Dragster, 7.443, 179.18 def. Steve Furr, Dragster, 6.984, 182.87.

Top Sportsman -- Tommy Turner, Pontiac GXP, 7.579, 173.41 def. Jeffrey Barker, Chevy Cobalt, broke.
