“This is arguably our strongest Formula Drift lineup since we began our involvement in the series,” said Lucas Oil Director of Motorsports, Tom Bogner. “We are excited to have three unbelievably talented drivers who are all driving three very different vehicles, which helps showcase our products over a wide variety of platforms. I expect big things from this group and we look forward to seeing them in action all season long.”

Field is Lucas Oil's longest tenured Formula Drift driver and comes into 2018 with an exciting new build. After seven years piloting his trusty Nissan 240SX S14, the San Jose native will be debuting his newest car, a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette. Always a fan favorite, Field is ready to see the results of his hard work from his busy off-season. “We wanted to try something different this year and I'm grateful that Lucas Oil has continued their partnership with us for what should be an interesting 2018 season with the Falken Tires Corvette,” said Field. “Lucas Oil has supported me and my team for six years now including our first win at Texas in 2016. I’m hoping to continue that success with our new car this year.”

The 2018 season will be Pawlak's third year with Lucas Oil support and he is thrilled to continue the relationship. “I'm very excited to renew our partnership with Lucas Oil,” said Pawlak. “I think our alliance is a perfect fit and their products play a key role in our performance and success.” Pawlak will once again be behind the wheel of his Roush Performance Ford Mustang and the four-time event winner looks to get back on top of the podium this season. “I can’t wait to get the new year started. With partners like Lucas Oil supporting my program, I know we have the tools we need to win and I expect big things this season.”

The newest driver to join the Lucas Oil family is Fredric Aasbo. Aasbo is the 2015 Formula Drift champion and will be debuting his new Papadakis Racing prepared Rockstar Energy Drink/ Nexen Tire Toyota Corolla Hatchback in 2018. “New year, new car and new partnership with Lucas Oil!” said an excited Aasbo. After finishing second in last years standings, Aasbo looks to take back the title that was once his. “Lucas Oil has been involved with Formula Drift for many years and we're looking to kick off our new relationship in style by gunning for the Formula Drift title and bringing home Lucas Oil their first championship in the series.”

All three drivers will contest the full 2018 Formula Drift championship which begins on April 6 and 7 on the Streets of Long Beach. The tour will make eight stops in seven different states and will be televised on CBS Sports Network and streamed live on the Formula Drift website.
