Lucas Engine Oil Stop Leak “Just Works” for Avalanche’s Start Up Problems

I have a 2004 Avalanche with 170k miles. After longish trips (100+miles) the next start up would bring a cloud of smoke. I added the Engine Oil Leak Stop and it worked almost immediately. Also, compression is noticeably higher and the engine runs much smoother. It just works.

My 2001 Honda Accord had been having small leak issue, which the dealer recommended having the O-ring on distributor replaced to stop the leak, but the leak persisted. I previously used Lucas Oil for my transmission before and it worked great, so I decided to try this $9 method before doing anything else. After the first bottle about 5 months ago, I could feel the engine running smoother than before and the leak also stopped. Obviously I got a second bottle to use at my next oil change interval which was two months ago and had not have any problem since. Since my car is 17 years old, I will certainly use this product at every other oil change interval from now on. I would rather pay an extra $9 at every other oil change interval (or at least once a year) as a preventive maintenance method than end up spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars to replace the seals later, especially the temperature where I live at times can fluctuate as much as 40 degrees within a day. I am a salesman who puts a lot of miles, a mixture of highway and city stop and go, on vehicles. I currently own a 2005 Toyota Camry with 205,000 miles on it's 4 cylinder engine. About two months ago I started noticing a puff of smoke on the first start up of the day. It kept getting progressively worse, so I spoke to a mechanic who told me the valve seals were shot. Cost of repairing the seals wouldn't be that much more than replacing the engine with a used one. The engine was not leaking oil on the garage floor and it runs really well, so I started looking for an alternative. On the advice of another mechanic I picked up an additive from a well known company. It didn't come close to slowing down what had become a pretty significant cloud. I didn't want to spend $3500 on a car with that amount of miles and decided to give it one more shot, I've used a variety of Lucas products and have always been pleased with the results. Changed the oil using one of the best synthetic oils you can buy and substituted a quart of Engine Oil Stop Leak. On the bottle you state "It Works" and I am living proof that it does exactly that. On the very first start up the next morning NO SMOKE! Not only that, but the engine runs smoother and much quieter. Thanks for making such a GREAT product! It sure saved me a lot of cash!
