My wife's 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix was having transmission issues (slipping at the peak of 1st into 2nd). My '02 Chevy Cavalier coupe is definitely one of the nice looking ones still around, except that I noticed some play in the transmission at around 98,000 Miles. Even after a flush and fill with new transmission fluid, I would get hard shifts and a delay in kick down. I have a 1987 Volvo 240GL with just over 270,000 miles on it that gets very little road time. When I got it five years ago the transmission was leaking. I replaced the cooler line fittings only to discover the trans was leaking from the main seal where the bellhousing attaches to the gearbox. To replace this is basically a full rebuild.
