About a year ago, I got a transmission flush in my 2005 Mercury Sable. However, upon doing so, it became apparent that the vehicle had never had the ATF changed in its 145,000 mile lifetime. So, all the clutch material that had basically allowed the tranny to operate normally was gone. The car would not stop bucking and slipping. My 2004 Dodge Dakota 3.7 automatic was slipping and jerking 35-40 miles mph feel like I was running over the pay attention ribs cut into the edge of the blacktop. This story goes about 20 years ago. I was on a vacation with family and we were driving our 1990 Olds 88 (FWD). We had gotten to our destination and the CV axle seal on the driver side had completely failed and leaked out quite a few quarts of transmission fluid. Lucas Transmission Fix Fixes Lag in 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo

My 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo had a slight transmission lag in the shift pattern over time. The car has 125K miles so I started to look for a maintenance solution.
