About a year ago, I got a transmission flush in my 2005 Mercury Sable. However, upon doing so, it became apparent that the vehicle had never had the ATF changed in its 145,000 mile lifetime. I have a 1987 Volvo 240GL with just over 270,000 miles on it that gets very little road time. When I got it five years ago the transmission was leaking. I replaced the cooler line fittings only to discover the trans was leaking from the main seal where the bellhousing attaches to the gearbox. To replace this is basically a full rebuild.
